Skin Microneedling in Vancouver
Healthier, Brighter Skin
One Treatment at a Time
With precise microneedling, we help your skin become firmer, brighter, and healthier — without harsh chemicals or downtime.
When your skin starts to show signs of aging, scarring, or uneven texture, it can feel like nothing truly works long-term. That’s where skin microneedling stands out — not by covering things up, but by encouraging your skin to rebuild from within.
At Empower Health, we use microneedling to safely activate your skin’s natural repair process. Over time, this helps boost collagen, smooth out scars and fine lines, and restore a more even, healthy glow — without harsh treatments or artificial substances.
It’s not a quick fix, but for the right skin type, it can create real, lasting changes. Most people notice a difference after just one session, and deeper results build with each treatment.
If you’ve been looking for a gentle, effective way to support your skin’s health, skin microneedling may be the next step.
How does Skin Microneedling work?
Skin Microneedling, popularized by the DermaPen, involves the use of a machine with an automated needle tip, to create repeated punctures into the superficial layers of the skin. Each tip has on average 10-16 tiny needles. As each needle enters and exits the skin at a very fast rate, it creates a tiny pore in the skin, and stimulates collagen regrowth in the area.
After the treatment is finished, the skin will continue to remodel over the next 4 weeks, at which time the final effects will be noticed. Treatments are done 3-4 weeks apart, and usually between 5 and 10 treatment are needed for full effect. However, you will still notice effects after only one treatment!

Frequently Asked Questions
For any questions or inquiries, feel free to call us or schedule an appointment.
Does Microneedling hurt, and is there any downtime?
Microneedling may cause mild discomfort, often described as a tingling or scratching feeling. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to reduce sensation. Downtime is minimal; most people experience mild redness for 1–2 days.
How many treatments will I need to see results?
Visible improvements are often seen after 2–3 sessions, with optimal results after 4–6 sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart. The number may vary based on skin condition and treatment goals.
Can Skin Microneedling help with acne scars and large pores?
Yes, microneedling is effective for improving acne scarring, reducing pore size, and enhancing overall skin texture. It works by stimulating collagen and elastin production to remodel the skin.
Is Microneedling safe for all skin types?
Microneedling is safe for most skin types when performed by a trained professional. However, it should be avoided on active acne, infections, or certain dermatologic conditions without proper medical clearance.
Is Skin Microneedling covered by insurance in British Columbia?
Microneedling for cosmetic purposes is typically not covered by provincial MSP, but some extended health plans may cover it if deemed medically necessary and performed by a licensed ND. Verify with your insurer.
