How do I know if I need counselling?
If you’re feeling emotionally exhausted, repeating patterns in relationships, struggling to cope with stress, or just want to better understand yourself, counselling can provide clarity, tools, and support.
Is counselling covered by insurance in British Columbia?
Many extended health benefit plans in B.C. cover services provided by Registered mental health providers. We can direct bill to benefit providers for practitioners registered as Psychologists and Social Workers. For services provided by Counsellors, clients need to pay for the service and submit the receipt to their benefit provider for reimbursement. It’s best to check directly with your insurance provider about your specific coverage and claim process.
What if I can’t afford regular counselling sessions?
We understand the current cost of living in Vancouver can be overwhelming. We aim to keep counselling accessible and will provide you with options and help connect you with resources that suit your budget. Please reach out to discuss.
How is counselling different from talking to a friend or family member?
While personal support is important, counselling provides a confidential space with trained professionals who can help you explore patterns, understand root causes, and offer practical, evidence-based tools for change.
How many sessions will I need?
